SCUBA Club kids and instructor in front of dive shop

Mālama Nā `Āpapa’s Youth Scuba club includes youth ages 10 and up from all around Kaua’i island. These youth get certified as Scuba divers and also participate in coral reef conservation efforts such as reef monitoring, reef clean-ups and reef restoration.

Fundraisers help support those who need monetary support to complete their Scuba certification and to help with travel costs for club trips.

Scuba Club activities include dive certification, fun dives, debris removal, coral health surveys, and marine sciences education.

Marine debris impacts coral as well as other marine life.

Scuba diving is fun and educational and also offers career options in marine sciences, commercial diving, and dive instruction.

We welcome all youth ages 10 and up to join our Youth Scuba Club and participate in our activities. If you know of a youth that would be interested please contact Scott Bacon at 808-482-0683 to schedule a complementary introductory Scuba experience.
